From Living on the Streets to Sober Living
Audio Q&A with Keegan, the Sober App challenge winner
Hello, sober community!
Today we’re excited to share an audio Q&A with the winner of Sober App’s Dry January Challenge.
To qualify, participants were required to stay sober for the month of January and track their sober days on Sober App, which you can download for free here and which features a day counter, community forum, resources, and support.
The prize: one month of free rent or a mortgage payment!
Keegan, our winner, offers an inspiring window into his recovery, sharing:
Glimpses from his past, including growing up in an abusive family, living on the streets at age 6, and going in and out of the prison system
Where he is today: working his recovery program, participating in an intensive outpatient program (IOP), studying full time at college, and giving back through on-campus and community outreach initiatives focused on addiction recovery

I was humbled and honored to chat with Keegan - so much recognition for the tremendous change he’s creating in his own life and the lives of others. ❤️
WOW! For so many reasons I was beyond impressed with Keegan. He is a great speaker and does so with intelligence and great articulation. I could sense your strength, courage, perseverance and conviction. I think you are meant to do great things and pray you have nothing but successes in your future.
I am sorry for all of the trauma and horrible experiences you’ve had to endure thus far in your life.
Is there a Venmo or something in place you donate something towards your education ?
