And ... my memories of drinking are somewhat similar, I always felt energized by the "right amount" of alcohol (sometimes mixed with other things) - nights turned into days turned into nights until there was a crash and then it would repeat. Doing the same thing every day - up at 6:09, in bed before 11, quiet time - boring, boring, boring - except it is also beautiful. And simple. And in time, in time I came to see that other life as something that was, and something that doesn't need to/have to be again.
