I had no idea when I wrote this essay and squirrelled it away in a drawer for a year that it would eventually lead me to such a vibrant, beautiful and supportive community! Thank you for sharing it here, Dana. I hope that it can offer some inspiration to other sober/sober-curious people in the same way that your words offer support and encouragement to me. 🙏💕

This essay was my first introduction to Michelle, too. It stayed with me. Such a powerful piece. Sally represents so much.

Loved loved loved this. Nothing is so bad that drinking helps. The blackout episode you described has happened to most drinkers, I think. Sally is your saint. Sally, the Saint of Sobriety.
