I always forget or resist the serenity prayer! Like it’s too corny or something! But the truth is, it is the best we have. It works as good as HALT, even better, in that it lays bare what we are really working with and it really stops me in my tracks. It is a pause, and a sacred space, and it is true self-awareness (no higher power required). Thank you for writing about what life is really like. I have days like this all of the time. Thank you for making me feel less alone.
