Thanks Keith, yeah, that line either lands or it don't ; ) and when it does, it is exactly as you say: both the way & the challenge. Here's to embracing the challenges ahead - Cheers!
Thank you, Paulina. And the learning in recovery is cumulative...and ongoing. I see we criss-crossed the USA in opposite directions, as I'm NYC raised & LA 'educated' ; ) Cheers!
30 years is amazing and something to be truly proud of. As a fellow acupuncturist/herbalist, there is a lot to this type of medicine that helps heal on both sides of the needle.
Awesomeness indeed to hear of others like yourself, ourselves, administering and receiving the medicines of the needle & the herb! I'm feeling a new habit of some early afternoon tonic-tea approaching ; )
Awesome, Randy. I felt I was reading a short snippet from your autobiography, feeling the essence you through your words. Helped, of course, by knowing more about you through your videos: an authentic guy full of good vibes.
Adam, as always, your kindness is appreciated! Yeah...I'm all good vibes these days, and while I thought that was my M.O. back in the day...the unintended collateral damage was not any kind of vibe one would want reverberating around them ; ) i know you know
Great share Randal. Ironically, I could have almost been reading my story. Got sober in 1988, professional musician, became a drug counselor and got lit up with the spiritual aspect of recovery, became a sober shaman as well. Incorporate that as well as music treating addiction and supporting recovery. Look forward to learning more about you!
Hey Jim! Wonderful to hear from a kindred spirit who's traveled a-many of the same paths. Your sober year of '88 was a high-water mark for my misadventures: LA's music scene was at its loudest volume ; ) and we lived in the infamous "Hell House" where the party shifted to when the Strip hit closing time.... Yes, looking forward to connecting!
Thank you, my Love. And what a beautiful example of how not everyone’s recovery looks the same. There are many ways to get and stay sober. 30 years!!
“Trust what you already know to be true.”
This is the way, and the challenge.
Thank you for sharing.

Love how you describe the pause between feeling the urge and choosing the next right step. There's magic in that pause 😊
