Thank you, Dana. I am co-facilitating a 8-week group that starts April 3: Healing from within, a support group for women survivors of childhood sexual trauma. Sobriety gives us the foundation to shine light on shadows. Holding you with courage, Shana
Thank you for sharing this and the important work you’re doing. I am going to share this with someone I love who may or may not choose to join your support group. I love that you are offering it. 💔
How have I not found this place sooner? I am so happy to see this substack. I am Greg. I have been sober for 2 years and 10 months, but who is counting? I am now writing and using my photography of the night sky to find peace and grace, forgiveness, and comfort. I am so glad to be here and engage with all who are here and need encouragement. Thanks for letting me share, and I hope to share more as a writer.
Welcome, Greg! So glad you’re here, and what a beautiful practice for finding peace, grace, forgiveness, and comfort. Feel free to reach out about contributing as a writer - we’re always looking for new contributors!
Replacing bad habits with good habits keeps us sober. Highly recommend starting each day checking this app and reading a daily message from Sober Not Just Dry, 365 Daily Messages for Alcoholism and Addiction Sobriety and Joy. Get it here: https://a.co/d/hH0cvZf I love seeing the book right by my computer. I can't help but pick it up and read the daily message. The cover with the author (who created the Sober App which used to be called SoberTool) holding his beloved puppy always draws me in. The messages, much like the I Ching, are always relevant to exactly what my brain is puzzled about in that moment.
I am so grateful to be a part of this compassionate group of writers in such a supportive community. Thank you, Dana, for helping to creative a safe space for us all to congregate and grow together. 🩷
So grateful to be a part of this community. To everyone who shared and continues to share their stories, please know that you gave me the courage to share mine. Thank you.
I'm not a writer..dabbled in some poetry which I believed helped me through being sober plus got a lot of pent up stuff out...its as if I got to a place where the worst came out then I couldn't write no more...now I paint but love reading on this sober app. Ty All

All the hearts to you, Rosemary!
I would like to tell my story. I've been clean and sober for 2 years now, but have been in and around the rooms for 40 years. How do I do this?
Hey Richard, If you’d like me to send submission guidelines, please email me at: hello@danaleighlyons.com Congrats on your sobriety!

I have a memoir on The Teachers Way chronicling my getting sober in 1984 and my life afterwards,
I imagine that, in some ways, getting sober was quite different back then. Thank you for sharing, Molly!
