Thank you for sharing your wisdom, Dee! So interesting how a choice that many would consider restrictive has brought me more freedom than I could’ve ever imagined. Even the mental and energetic freedom of never having to weigh whether, when, or how much to drink is such blessing and brings such lightness and spaciousness.

I thoroughly enjoyed your perspective. My outlook is from a personal empowerment approach. You see 6, I see 9, but we’re looking at the same number. To be sober is to be free of tyranny. Thank you for your insights.

I love this. Commitment and holding the strong pillars offer room for true freedom in my life, without it I'm just flailing around in the abyss. I can relate to a lot of what you wrote, Dee. Thank you for sharing!

Timely for the July 4th holiday here in the US to talk about how sobriety brings freedom. And I agree! It is freeing to not be tied to a substance. Being able to choose what to do, when and where, and with who, without being tethered to the lack of choices that comes from being drunk or high. Even something simple like safely driving myself home is a freedom that substances don't allow. Thanks for sharing 🙏
